My 16 year old son is in the process of rebuilding an older car and although he ordered an exhaust system from a specialty catalog, when he went to install it, he found it was missing a component. Being new to car repair, he mistakenly thought it was a catalytic converter and began and began calling around for the best price and availability. After numerous calls, the lowest price was from the Meineke shop in Palantine, IL, located at Dundee Rd. and Rand Rd.
Well, the dealer he was working with called last night with the news that the part was in. When we drove over there, I advised my son to bring his new exhaust system (and the "catalytic converter") just to be sure everything would fit together properly. The fellow he was working with over the phone (I truly regret not getting his name), came out to meet him and immediately identified the part in question as a resonator and not a catalytic converter. He then suggested to my son that since his new exhaust system already had a resonator he could fix him up with a simple straight pipe that would work out just fine. Instead of $175 for the original cost estimate for a catalytic converter, your guy fixed him up with a straight pipe with flanges welded in place, gaskets and the necessary nuts and bolts for $35. On top of this tremendous savings, my 16 year old son was treated with the respect and professionalism you would expect if it were a big ticket item.
I have never had the opportunity to use Meineke for any service, but the way that your employee handled my son's transaction was exemplary. This was by no means a "big" job in the scope of his shop's daily routine, but your guy handled it as a true professional. Although my son's funds are limited now and he continues to do as much of his own work as possible, I know in the future he will always remember how he was treated at Meineke. As his father, I too will remember this experience and am sure I will also be a future customer when the need arises.

Treated very well by owner Rick and manager Gary, both over the phone and in person. Had front spring and shocks replaced, and one bad lower ball joint, on my 1988 lincoln. I know a bit about car repair and found they did a very good job at a reasonable fair price. I do some of my own work on my cars, and have a couple of good local auto shops that I use over the years to do serious things that I can't do. Now I will certainly include Rick Lennon's Meineke shop, for not only exhaust type work, but other repairs also.

I really want to appreciate the good customer service I received at store # 1592 which is located on W. Washington Street in Indianapolis, Indiana. Manager Paula was really nice and friendly. Moreoever, Technician Kris was also very helpful. I really appreciate the honesty and sincerity of these people. I went there for transmission oil flush but after looking at my car, Kris told me that I don't really need flush because transmission oil looked perfect and I was also not having any problem with transmission either. Someone else could have easily made $85 for that service but they honestly told me that I did not need that service. I will definitely come back to this store again. Thanks Again PAULA & KRIS

Jim and his wife are the most honest people around and really do give Meineke a good name! Again we went there for my husband's brakes on his truck and were amazed at how honest the staff was and how quickly the work was done! I will not take our cars anywhere else.

I wanted to thank Manager Dan McDonald at the Arnold MO location and his team for such a great job to my 1997 Dodge Van. Starting with a required state inspection, I was amazed at the SERVICE I got from Dan and his team of mechanics. I haven't been treated so well for many years. They were very polite, informative, and friendly during the whole process and I will DEFINITLY recommend them to everyone I know. I just picked up my van this evening and it is running great and handling like it was brand new. Thanks to Dan and his mechanics team who worked on my van- it is absolutely great!! And, thanks for the ride back home when I dropped it off for repairs- It was very much appreciated.
Thanks for a most pleasant experience- keep up the great work!
Respectfully,

We were on holiday from NJ, halfway through our drive to Boston the check engine light came on and wouldn't go off. We called up the Meineke and Eddie said he would look at it that morning. VERY friendly staff who couldn't do enough for us. Gave us a lift into Boston Common which was really appreciated.
Eddie went through everything he could do to identify the problem and when he couldn't fix it was very honest and up front. Many garages would have spun it out and tried to charge me for fixes that didn't solve the problem but these guys were straight up and it really felt they were on our side throughout.
I would totally recommend them to anyone!

Just wanted to drop a line that these guys did outstanding work on my vehicle after I brought it in for brake repairs. They had the problem diagnosed in minutes and gave me options for the repairs, which made it easier on me to make the best choice that made sense for me. They allowed me to purchase my own part and deliver it to them the next day for installation, which saved me a lot of money. I also found out they do oil changes for about $6 less than I'm paying now, so I'll be bringing my car there for its routine maintenance from now on.
Tell these guys they're doing a great job and to keep up the good work. Having lived in several states throughout the southest and southwestern US, I've been to other Meineke shops in the past and was neither overly impressed or overly displeased. These guys, however, met my expectation for repairing the vehicle and exceeded what I expected from the service side and deserve recognition for a job well done.

I just wanted to let you know of the positive experience I had with the folks running the Car Care Center in Westchester. I brought my car in for the Illinois Emmissions Testing. I had some issues with the testing with my car and had to be retested a couple of times. They handled this process in a most professional manner, extremely customer focused even though I am not a paying customer. I will definitely consider bringing my car in for repairs in the future and will not hestitate to recommend them for others to use.

I believe in writing about good service as much I believe in writing about bad. Today, the letter is very good. I went to Center # 1070 on September 4th thinking that after 40k miles that my front break pads would need replacing. Damien was the Meineke representative that assured me any such repair would be a waste of my money. So while I only walked away paying for a standard oil change, Meineke can be assured that I will return with future auto needs. Furthermore, the bathroom was the cleanest I have ever seen at a garage. All around, a very positive experience. Thank you.

This store rocks. Period. I came in confused and nervous about having serious work done on my older vehicle (having my clutch replaced!), and they more than covered my needs and expectations. The staff were all so pleasant and knowledgable, I will never go anywhere else for services on my vehicle. It is so refreshing to find a servicing facility that has honest, knowledgable, and caring staff. They definetly exceeded my expectations. Thank you so much!

I wanted to commend the staff, especially the manager James Bess, at Carrollton Meineke. While on an internship in Dallas, 1500 miles away from home, my exhaust system gave out. As a young woman who knows very little about cars and is on a very straight budget, I was nervous about going to a shop for fear of getting sold parts or services that weren’t necessary or were over expensive. Nonetheless, I had another eight weeks of work and the entire drive home, so I took my car to the Carrollton Meineke. The staff immediately took a look at my car, and then Mr. Bess showed me the problem -- the entire exhaust system was corroded and would have to be replaced. I had replaced it three years earlier (Cars don't last long in Rochester) and expected it to be pricey. Mr. Bess quoted me initial price, it was almost the same amount I had paid when my family mechanic replaced the system three years ago. The staff went to work and two hours later my car was ready to go. Mr. Bess was extremely courteous, reasonable, and personable.

In a time where customer service seems to have gone the way of bell bottoms and sideburns, I feel compelled to write and tell of a level of service that I never thought I'd see again.
After attending the wake for a friend's father in South Boston, I was unable to get my car started. Having exhausted all of my limited mechanical prowess, I broke down and called a tow truck. When the driver finally arrived, I again tried to start the car, no luck. The driver went back to his truck and emerged with a floor mat and a short metal pipe. After laying the mat on the rain-soaked pavement, he knelt beside my car and hollered instructions through the window. I did as he told and turned the key. After a couple well placed strikes of the pipe against the underside of my car, the engine roared to life. He explained that my fuel pump had failed.
After settling up, I began heading home to Hingham and realized that even if I make it home, I may not get the car started again in the morning. Immediately, I called my mechanic, Joe Capadonna, at Meineke Car Care Center in Quincy. It was 10 minutes to 6 and Joe was getting ready to close up. I explained to him what happened and expressed my concern that I wouldn't be able to start the car in the morning. He wanted to be sure, so he called his lead mechanic at home, and called me back. They both agreed that the car likely wouldn't start, so Joe told me to bring the car straight to his shop. I said I would call my wife to pick me up. He told me not to bother, he'd bring me home. When I arrived at his shop, about 15 minutes after closing time, he was pulling his Tire Display Racks out of the garage, and into the rain, to make room for my car. I pulled in and he put every thing back and closed up the shop. We got into his car and he took me home to Hingham, well out of his way to Canton. He truly went above and beyond the call of duty.
Joe and his crew have proven to me time and time again that they have the customer's best interest in mind. I won't go anywhere else, and I tell people all the time about Joe's shop. His attention to customer service is refreshing in a time where some will stop at nothing to make an extra buck.

I just wanted to take a moment to let you know how grateful I am to the folks at the Meineke on Washinton Blvd in Ogden, UT for going above and beyond to help us out when our car broke down. We were stranded on our trip hundreds of miles from home, and it was past closing time on a Friday night. I'd just had some other work done on my car at my local Meineke in Lake Oswego, OR before the trip and had been pleased, so we automatically called 411 to ask for the nearest Meineke. We were told that the mechanics had had a rough day and that the shop had actually closed a half hour ago, but given our predicament they were not only kind enough to give us a phone number for a good towing company and keep the doors open for us but to also give us a ride to our hotel, fix our car first thing in the morning (turns out it was the fuel pump) and then give us a ride back to pick it up. This kind of service is rare, and it was much appreciated. I don't know what we'd have done if we hadn't have called Meineke, but I'm glad we did, and now I know who to call in the future. I hope there is some way to reward this shop for their way-beyond-the-call-of-duty customer service because they deserve it. Did I mention that they did all of this with a smile? Thank you, Meineke!
